| Course Name: Crime Scene Investigation Course Code: A0019 Course Description: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION
Forensic Science begins at a crime scene. It is up to the crime scene investigator to take charge over the crime scene and execute the process required for proper crime scene analysis. This Crime scene investigation course will introduce the basic concept required for procedures and techniques in crime scene analysis. The course covers topics such as initial response to a crime scene; the importance of following proper protocol in searching, collecting, and packaging crime scene evidence; how to insure the integrity and chain of custody that will be acceptable in a court of law; how to identify and collect various forms of evidence; and how to document a crime scene as well as explain different techniques for handling evidence.
Course Requirements: The class does not require previous experience nor education in the field of crime scene investigation. However the minimum criteria for Students are those who have completed their H.S.C (or equivalent) can apply. Course Materials: Course material with overall coverage of the syllabus will be given. It does not require you to buy additional or supplementary course material except what is supplied online. Grading Policy: A Certificate of Academic Excellence will be earned by those who reach at least a 85% score Certificate of Merit will be awarded only to students after completion of overall assignments and exams undertaken. | ||||||||||||||

This lesson discusses the different methods of processing a crime scene.

This lesson explains the importance of proper evidence collection techniques and the procedure for properly collecting evidence, correctly interpreting a crime scene
Lesson 8: Proper Handling Techniques
How evidence is handled, collected and sealed while maintaining COC

Assignment and class tests will be announced on regular basis. It is compulsory for a student to submit their assignment and clear the test to obtain the Certificate
