Course Code: A0018 Course Description: CRIMINAL PROFILING The Third wave in Criminology is referred to as Criminal Profiling. In its simplest definition, criminal profiling refers to the method of identifying the offender by the nature of crime committed and the manner in which it was committed. In this course one gets to learn about the reconstruction of the motives of the offender and intent behind the crime. The significant increase in the need for criminal profiling has lead to enforcement agencies to rely on a criminal profilers work. So, if you feel that the offender’s criminal trail evokes your imagination to seek the thrills of the trail, intent and modus operandi of the criminal, this course will give you a knowledge about the third wave….. Course Requirements: The class does not require previous experience nor education in the field of criminal profiling. However the minimum criteria for Students are those who have completed their H.S.C (or equivalent) can apply. Course Materials: Course material with overall coverage of the syllabus will be given. Final Exam
Assignment and class tests will be announced on regular basis. It is compulsory for a student to submit their assignment and clear the test to obtain the Certificate
